The Grattenbergl where the largest settlement in North Tyrol was in the Hallstatt period was among other things a showplace of the Tyrolean struggle for freedom against the Bavarian and French troops. Kastengstatt was known for working iron from the smelting plant in Jenbach. The hamlet was also stack space and the space ship Innship-ride.

Even if the Grattenbergl is a small hill in comparison with magnificent Tyrolean mountains, so it's worth it to climb it. You can see the whole area in different directions and on top of that enjoy the sunset with a clear view.
